i like taking risk but with great risk comes great rewards in gambling

also leads to going broke occasionally so it helps to have friends who will spot you the times you bet big and lose

I have a question on this ‘% of capital risk’. Is it the risk per trade? or is it the combined risk of all active trades?

Good question Jake.

It’s per trade. Not all the trades together. So if you have two trades on, as long as the markets are not related? Then 2% risk, on each one, 4% for the two.

saw someone in the comments posting about a losing streak, let me say this…
When I got intro gambling many many years ago, I lost my bankroll 5 times before I finally started picking up on some things. My money management was terrible. What you and everyone who is new needs to do is start small and expect losses early as the cost of learning.

Ah, I start discussing a daytrading strategy.

Scalping.

Short 1376 means that I was shorted the Sugar market (looking for a drop in price), and the price I entered was 1376, and I was looking for a reward of 5 ticks or, buy back and exit my short position at 1371, which means I would have made $55.20

Hey Dan,

it took me a joint to understand what you just explianed! great job man…so you need to keep record of 12months trades THEN you can figure out next year risk capital %? Is this lagging somehow?
