Move on. Like my mom said Money Talks People Walk. It doesnt mean that you cant keep in contact with the people in the old hospital it just means your on your way in life to make more friends and add the email lists and list of numbers in your phone. Good Luck and take the opporutinty because you may regret it later.

I think that happiness in a job can be more important than money. if you think you could be happy in the new role go for it.

i can imagine that money is an important factor having to support your girls though so is a tough decision. do what your heart tells you to but dont live with regret once you make a decision

When you are single and you have children to support, money is always a factor. I know that you enjoy your current job, and I am sure that it has taken time for you to build the type of relationship you have with your work. It just did not happen overnight. A new job if given the time, may have the same “great” feeling as your old one. PLUS you will have more financial security for your two children and yourself, which in the end will help you to be happier. Just my opinion.

Sometimes making a career job,is very very scary this is for sure. But,if you don’t try,how will you know. Having a little bit more money always helps, especially raising two girls on your own. Who,knows you may even end up liken the new employees at your new job, good luck to you. Sometimes Change is better, for the human soul..Good Luck to you.

With 12 years under your belt, I would not recommed an change due to the benefits that you already have earned, the familiarity with your work envionment, and relationship with patients, friends, and co-workers. my suggestion would be to try for a higher paying position within the same hospital, or see if your daughters (if old enough) are interested in getting into your field. They could get hands on exoerience as a volunteer candy stripper, and then move up, with your guidance and support.

Yes, i think you should. You are in your comfort zone right now with the ideal work environment for you, but you have to ask yourself what your ultimate goal in life really is. Is emotional satisfaction all that you’ll ever need? Your girls are growing up, I’m sure you’ll be planning for their college education soon, and that requires money. Sometimes you can’t afford to be sentimental about things. If the offer you get from the other side is genuine and affords your family more financial security than your present job, then I think it’s time for you to move on in your career and your life. Good luck.

What is your gut telling you to do? Follow your gut!

You’re going to always need more money…with the rising price of homes, gas, food, taxes etc. So start creating multiple “incoming” income streams for you and your family.

Start a business or two on the Internet. You can check on your Internet business while you work your day job if you have a lap top. This will help supplement income if you decide to keep the $29k job per year.

    Good Luck
