Jaxky Lim asked:

Wise men say there are some things that money can not buy. That is true, but that does not mean that money is not important, in the contrary money is very important. We use money to buy the things that we need. We buy our clothes with money, we buy our furniture with money and we buy our food with money. In fact we buy almost everything with money so whether we like it or not, money is important for us.

Although money is important in our lives, it seems like the church is hesitant to talk about it. Some people think that talking about money is not ethic for Christians. This is making the situation worse because apparently some people who struggle with money management are Christians.

These situations continue and make those people thought that God only care about their spirituality and not their physical needs. They end up working as the slaves of money. They work really hard just to get money thus they sacrifice their family, their time and their own dignity.

The bible says give and you will be given, meaning we start our financial management with giving first. Giving does not necessarily mean money. It can also mean goodness, positive attitude, and effort. In business application, by doing extra service for our customers, they will make our customers happy and loyal to our service. If they are happy and satisfied, they will return and they will tell about our good service to their friends. More and more people will come to us if they need our service.

I encourage all of us to start using the principles of the bible to gradually understand of the way to manage our money wisely.

Alex

William Barnes asked:

Are you looking for the highest returns and lowest risk Forex money management systems? Many traders have very profitable trading methods that they have learned from experienced professionals, yet they continually lose money because they do not know how to manage their money properly. In this article, I will demonstrate to you why Forex money management is so crucial and why it may even be more important than your main trading system.

1. Examples of How Important Forex Money Management Systems Are

Let’s say for example that a person has a trading system that has generated 80% returns historically. He gets very excited and thinks that he can trade with big lots since the chances of winning trades is very high. However, he failed to consider the fact that he may start experiencing the 20% of losses first before he starts enjoying the 80% of winning trades. Without proper management rules, the trader may lose his entire account even before he starts profiting.

Another point to note is that a percentage loss first requires a bigger percentage win later to break even. For example, a trading capital with $1,000 experiencing a 10% loss will end up at $900. A 10% win later and the account will end up at $990. In this case, the trader would need to make a profit of 11.11% to break even.

2. Why is it Necessary to Have Tight Money Management Systems?

As demonstrated by the examples above, no one can anticipate when profits or losses will be made. Measures need to be taken just in case the losing trades happen first.

3. Getting Automatic Forex Management Systems with Trading Robots

One way to deal with these issues easily is to download trading robots that trade automatically. This type of trading software reduces trading lots automatically when the capital goes down. I personally use them and I do not need to worry about managing my capital any more.

Adam

Yusoff Allian asked:

Although it can be tempting to whip out your credit card and take advantage of a strong upward trend in your favorite currency, failure to manage your money properly will leave you broke faster than you can say “sell, sell, SELL!!”

Forex trading, just like any other form of investment, is not a guaranteed money maker 100% of the time. Professional investors know this, and they know that some of their trades *will* lose money. The reason they’re still successful is that they plan for these losses accordingly so that in the long term they remain profitable.

Consider this example: a new trader finds a forex trading system that proves 75% successful, definitely a system to hold on to. What this means is that out of every 100 trades, 75 will generate a profit. The problem lies in not knowing which of the trades will be successful and which will cause a loss. What if the first 25 trades executed with this system generate losses, while the next 75 generate profit? If the trader has not practiced money management wisely he may have lost his entire investment capital on those first 25 trades.

The more aggressive forex trader will no doubt claim that the only way to big profits in a short period of time is to risk more of your capital, but in essence all he is doing is gambling. Indeed, an aggressive forex trader may get lucky and hit ten profitable trades in a row generating a very nice profit, but what happens if the next 19 trades all generate losses? If he’s still wagering large sums of money on each trade he’ll soon be back to where he started from, or more likely in an even worse predicament.

A disciplined forex trader will only risk a smaller percentage of his or her investment capital on each trade. Sure, the profits will be smaller in the short term compared to a more aggressive trader, but when the downturn hits (and it most definitely will), the forex trader practicing wise money management will be able to weather the storm far better than the aggressive trader.

It may not be the most exciting of strategies, but you’re not in the forex trading business for thrills, you’re in it to generate consistent profits. Using anything other than wise money management when investing in the forex market is simply gambling, and if you want to gamble then you’re better off at the casino. Even professional poker players, widely labeled as gamblers by spectators, employ money management systems. They realize that they can’t possibly win every single tournament they enter, so instead of risking their entire bankroll on one game they risk only a percentage at each one. This allows them to recover far more quickly when their losing streaks hit. Those that don’t practice money management quickly find themselves playing Crazy Eights instead.

In conclusion, don’t let the promise of quick riches cloud your judgment. Forex trading is not a get-rich-quick scheme; it’s an investment vehicle that can provide healthy profits for those who manage their money wisely. Remember, slow and steady wins the race.

Timothy

Shawn Lim asked:

Ok, this is about your financial management. Many people wants to be a Millionaire, but end up with nothing. Here are 5 financial management tips that can help you boost your income. I get this idea from Adam Khoo (one of Singapore youngest self-made Millionaire). Frankly, Adam is one of my favorite gurus, I’ve got almost all of his books. Before I tell you the 5 tips, you need to know some rough idea about money management first.

There are people who earn $1,000 every month, and claim that it is not enough (this is true though). However, there are also people who are earning $10,000 each month, and still claim that it is not enough. Why is this so? This is due to poor money management. Therefore you must know these 5 tips before you can increase your savings and reduce your expenses. You must spend time and effort into your money management, only then you can be rich. If you don’t know how to manage your money, then they will slip through your hand easily.

Don’t expect that this will happen automatically. Every rich people knows that it is their wealth their money, they need to manage them at least one hour a day. But for average people (who are not yet rich), they spend less than 1 hour each month managing their money. And that 1 hour usually is spend paying bills. That is why the rich is getting richer while the poor is getting poorer. But here are some tips that can help you manage your money.

1. Always Ask For Discount

You know, most of the stores that you bought your goods from, usually they are not fixed price. If you open your mouth and ask for discount, there are 70% of chances that you will succeed. Know this fact, if you have 10% of discount, you know what this means? This means that you have got an immediate 10% returns on your money. Over a long term, you will save more money than you can expected. (Psst, use the money you save and invest in money making strategies or anything that will make you richer.)

2. Always Ask For Receipt

Why you need a receipt? One reason, so that you can track every single expenses in the end of month. Depends on what goods you bought, if possible, claim it as business expenses and get a tax deduction.

3. At The End Of Month, Record All Your Expenses

You must record all your expenses in your personal financial management sheet. Be it in your note book or you can record it in your computer, with Excel. By doing so, only then you can track where your money has gone to.

4. Use Credit Card Whenever Possible

This is of course you must clear all the payment before the due date. At the end of month, you will receive statement which will make easy for you to record your expenses. In addition, many credit cards offer prizes if you use them more.

5. Update Your Income Statement In The End Of Month

Try to do a personal income statement that record all your incomes and expenses. Update it each month. You must use a system to track where every single dollar goes. Only when you know where your money is going, can you take steps to channel it to your savings and investments.

You must develop this money managing habits to get you richer. Although doing this everyday may sound tedious. But it is very important to know where your money has spent and how much you have saved. Many businesses failed because they don’t know how to manage their financial and money properly. So don’t be one of them! To your success.

Lloyd

Cdmohatta asked:

If you were asked about your finances at night, awaken from sleep will you remember the figures? Will you remember your deposits, your debts, your net savings, your average monthly expenses? Not many of us can answer these questions. Money is one of the most important parts of our life, but we do not know much about our own finances in precise terms. Is that not surprising?

Money management plays a very vital role in success. If you were to put the same questions to a very successful person, you will get all the answers with analysis thrown in for good measure. Those who make very big money understand the importance of money management. Unless you manage your money, you will not be able to make best use of it. I would discuss few important parts of money management here.

Debt- do not take debt if you can manage without that. The thought that you have debt makes you feel uncomfortable and kills enthusiasm. Ask two persons about their life- one who has no debt but lives very simply and other who has debts and lives lavishly. You will find out that one without debt is enjoying his/her life more.

Increase Savings – Save more and spend less. Your savings will not only be useful for a rainy day but also create a war chest for you that can be used when the right opportunity arrives.

Increase Profits- target good profits and try to reach that figure in your business. If you are employed, set targets for your salary and achieve it.

Reduce Costs – Wherever possible, reduce costs. Avoid all unnecessary expenditure. Reduce every cost. Live frugally till you save your first million. After that it will become easy to earn more and spend more. If you do that right from the beginning, you will never be able to save your first million.

Related link :-

1-Money Quizzes & Tests

Paul
